About the shop
A workshop built for everyday Budapest riding
Lingers Reveling Bike Works sits on Bartók Béla út in Újbuda—close enough for a lunch-hour drop-off, serious enough for real mechanical work.
Why we opened the doors
Budapest rewards riders who treat the bike as daily transport: market runs, office commutes, evening loops along the river. Those same miles punish neglected bearings and half-adjusted brakes. We opened Lingers Reveling Bike Works to give neighborhood cyclists a counter where estimates are spoken plainly and stands stay organized enough that parts do not vanish into a pile of “we will get to it.”
The name mixes two ideas we like: linger long enough to diagnose correctly, then revel in the ride afterward. That rhythm shapes how we schedule the week. We leave room for walk-in punctures without pretending every overhaul finishes in an hour. We stock the consumables Újbuda riders burn through—tubes, pads, chains—and we keep notes on unusual builds so return visits start faster.
Our team prefers tools that measure over tools that guess. Chain checkers, torque wrenches, hanger gauges, and a clean bleed kit matter more than marketing slogans. When a bike needs a specialist outside our scope—complex carbon structural repair, for example—we say so and help you plan the next step. Trust grows when a shop knows its edges.
Visitors find us at Bartók Béla út 41, 1114 Budapest. Phone +36 1 555 1840, email [email protected], or stop by during posted hours. Whether you roll a battered city hybrid or a carefully built gravel bike, you get the same standard: careful hands, clear talk, and a bike that feels ready for the streets you actually ride.
